Step 2: Determine the Variations in you Model of firearm

Variations of the Models

You have determined the model of your Winchester.  Now you will need to determine what version you have of that model.   Only a few of the single-shot .22 bolt action Winchester rifles have different versions .

Select one of the following choices: 

The rifle is a Model 67 (stamped on the barrel)  

          Your rifle barrel is 27” long and has no rifling, with bore smooth; barrel has brass beads for sights -- You have the Model 67 Smoothbore variation.

……..Your Model 67 rifle has a 20” barrel and gun weighs 41/2 pounds--- You have the Model 67 Junior variation.

 ……… Your rifle barrel is 24” long with skeet bored round barrel with brass beads for sights; shoots only LR SHOT cartridges -- You have the Model 67 Miniature Target variation. 

 ……..Your rifle barrel is 27” long, the bore has rifling, and sights are No. 32B rear with 2C elevator and a 75C front sight You have the Model 67 Standard variation.

The rifle is a Model 68 (stamped on the barrel)

…… Your rifle barrel is 27” long and has a Winchester 96A peep sight and front ramp sight No. 97 You have the Model 68 Standard variation

…… Your rifle barrel is 27” long and has a Winchester scope with dovetails cut in barrel metal You have the Model 68 variation that adds 300% to value

…… Your rifle barrel is 27” long and has a Winchester scope with NO dovetails cut into the  barrel  You have the Model 68 Standard variation that adds 350% to value

….. Your rifle barrel is 27” long and has a Winchester scope with dovetails cut in barrel metal and the gun shoots only WRF ammunition  You have the Model 68 Standard variation that adds 400% to value

If there are other extra features not mentioned, and they look original. -- You may have a factory "extra- option".  You may need to consult a professional appraiser to determine the value of your gun.
