1895 Winchester Takedown Disassembly and Gunsmithing Manual

This manual presents instructions on how to successfully disassemble your 1895 lever-action Winchester rifle. All 1895 rifles are dissembled in a similar manner, with only minor differences between sporting rifles and carbines and between the early and late models. This manual will first outline the history of the 1895 Winchester, then provide information on what tools will be needed in order to properly disassemble your gun. This will be followed with diagrams-schematics needed for reference during the entire disassembly, and finally the step-by-step disassembly process itself. I also added the bolt, finger lever and magazine assembly breakdown! There will be multiple steps involved in the dismantling of your 1895 Winchester. Each section of the gun-disassembly process will be treated as a STEP throughout the book, thus enabling you to move among the takedown instruction STEPS for various sections of the gun. For example, if you only need to look at the hammer, you can proceed directly to that STEP number. Because each section of the dismantling process is set up by area of the gun, anyone interested in only a portion of the dismantling can thus quickly skip directly to that step. The final step will include some tips on reassembling your gun.

You will find that, by carefully following the instructions of this book, dismantling an 1895 Winchester is a fairly easy and straight-forward process (when compared to other guns). The whole process requires only a minimum of tools, items that most people will probably already have in their home or shop.
